DabApps Trek the Night

On 15th July a team of adventurous Brightonians will take to the South Downs Way, raising money for Action, a charity who fund medical research for children. At midnight the intrepid travellers will start trekking across the Downs with only the stars to guide them... well, maybe the map, head-torch and volunteers will help too.

DabApps were contacted by Action and asked if any employees would be interested in participating in the walk and some brave souls have committed to the cause! There are two possible routes - 20 or 40 miles - being desk-dwellers, we've gone for option one.

With only a few weeks to go we've done our first warm-up walk - quite literally given current temperatures - stomping 10 miles from Saddlescombe to the River Adur. The views were spectacular, the air warm, and best of all, no blisters! It was a reminder that we have so much natural beauty on our doorstep and that a decent workout can be fun, free and involve jaffa cakes.
