Earlier this year we were commissioned by the Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust to design and develop a clinical support tool for people distressed by hearing voices.
The mobile app, called 'Choices', is now available to patients attending the Trust's Voices Clinic. It allows them to develop their own personalised coping strategies, build their assertiveness capabilities and practice mindfulness. By using the app, all of the knowledge and insights that patients gain from their clinical sessions can be brought into their daily lives. An in-app 'Mood Tracker' allows patients to monitor how they are doing each day and the ability to create personalised content means that they can record useful information between clinical sessions.
