Welcoming Tom Christie

Jamie Matthews

A belated Happy New Year from everyone at DabApps! We've been a bit quiet on the blog recently, mostly because we've been working hard on client projects. But we're starting our blogging for 2012 with some exciting news: DabApps has grown!

Last week, Tom Christie joined us as a senior engineer. Tom worked in speech recognition and networking technology before making the leap into web development. Since moving to Brighton, he has been a regular attendee and presenter at BrightonPy, and has impeccable open source credentials as the founder and lead maintainer of Django REST Framework, WebDriver Plus (an improved set of Python bindings to the Selenium testing framework) and a number of other projects. He'll be focusing on backend Django work, but pitching in with frontend code too. He has a particular interest in automated software testing, and will be working to improve and solidify our processes in that area.

We've got some excellent projects lined up for 2012 already, and we're always on the lookout for more. If you're interested in working with us, please get in touch.
