The challenge

Agilio needed to rebuild software that had previously been developed by another technical agency, while improving the user experience and protecting compatibility with the legacy system. Dental practices and practice groups needed to move across smoothly, with both users and existing data migrated safely.

Our approach

The discovery and design phase started with explorative workshops to understand the legacy software, key data integrations and the product opportunities. A customer engagement survey highlighted user pain points, while a full technical review helped us understand the existing data model and architecture before rebuilding the application in Django and React.

The outcome

The rebuilt iComply software now helps over 18,000 dental professionals manage dental compliance across practices and practice groups. Since launch, users have continued to give positive feedback on the improved user experience and interface design.

We have continued to add value through a mobile app, a subscriptions management system, single sign-on with Agilio's wider systems and a Healthcheck feature that helps dental practices prepare for compliance audits. The product remains an active partnership, with daily collaboration across design and development.
