The challenge
Firefly's ambition was clear: hybrid power systems do not just reduce reliance on diesel, they create measurable sustainability gains. But proving those benefits, while keeping the fleet healthy across multiple customer sites, required more than raw data.
Firefly needed a single platform that could serve three different groups: internal administrators managing the fleet, customer managers briefing their own stakeholders, and community leads demonstrating impact to funders and regulators. Each persona had distinct needs, yet all relied on the same underlying data. The challenge was to bring this complexity together in a way that was usable, engaging and credible.
Our approach
We partnered with Firefly to design Firefly Glow, an operations console that turns live telemetry into clear, actionable stories. At its core, the platform combines a zoomable fleet map, deep machine pages and stakeholder dashboards.
For administrators, Glow provides oversight and control: the ability to resync data, trigger remote actions, manage alerts and keep records accurate. For customer managers, it offers a trustworthy lens into contracts, installations and service history, with less need to call Firefly support for every update. For community leads, the system surfaces lifetime CO2 and fuel savings in language suitable for board presentations and sustainability reports.
Throughout the experience, Glow balances technical depth, including metrics, alerts, sync status and firmware details, with narratives of value through savings widgets, performance charts and impact dashboards. The result is a product that speaks clearly to engineers, managers and non-technical audiences.
Glow has changed how we manage and showcase our hybrid power systems. We can support sites remotely, and customers can clearly see the CO2 and fuel savings for themselves.

Results and impact
The Glow console has reshaped how Firefly demonstrates and supports its hybrid power systems. Administrators save time and reduce travel by investigating and configuring machines remotely. Customers stay engaged with clear, self-service dashboards. Community groups can evidence environmental and financial benefits at the click of a button.
By combining oversight, storytelling and stakeholder empowerment, Glow positions Firefly not just as a technology provider, but as a partner in sustainability advocacy.
Looking ahead
Firefly Glow shows how data-rich consoles can drive both operational excellence and customer advocacy. Future opportunities include extending its remote control features, optimising for mobile use by field teams and adapting its stakeholder flows to support broader audiences. As hybrid power adoption grows, Glow offers a scalable blueprint for proving impact and building trust.
