The challenge
PIGEON began with a clear purpose but no brand, product or technical groundwork. The founders needed support to articulate their vision, turn it into a compelling identity, and create a prototype strong enough to attract investment.
Once investment had been secured, the next challenge was to evolve the prototype into a scalable platform that remained true to the original idea while introducing the performance, security and usability needed for a public launch.
The experience had to feel simple and distinctive in a crowded market, and the technical platform needed to handle complex integrations for payments and video hosting. Continuous collaboration with PIGEON's external marketing and PR agency added another important layer to the process.
- Brand identity and proposition defined from scratch
- Prototype created that helped secure investment
- Secure payment integration via Stripe
- Real-time video sessions powered by Twilio
- Scalable, future-focused data model
- Full platform designed and built for controlled launch
Our approach
We began by shaping the brand and proposition through discovery workshops. This gave PIGEON a strong identity, a clear narrative and the confidence to communicate its purpose with clarity.
Using this foundation, we designed and built a functional prototype that brought the idea to life. The prototype went on to play a central role in securing early investment.
With funding in place, we revisited the product from a UX, UI and technical perspective to ensure the full build was scalable, simple and user-centred. Working closely with the founders, we created a long-term product roadmap and a data model that supported future growth.
We carried out detailed research into third-party tools and integrated Stripe for secure payments and Twilio for text notifications and live video sessions. Throughout the build, we stayed aligned with the external marketing and PR team so the product and campaign could support each other effectively.
Results and impact
We delivered a fully functioning skill-sharing platform that reflected the brand vision, showcased the proposition, and provided a stable foundation for user acquisition campaigns and controlled rollout.
Early testing did not generate the level of user adoption needed to sustain long-term investment, but the project still delivered significant value. The PIGEON team gained a distinctive brand, a validated concept, and a deeper understanding of their market and audience.
The platform gave the founders clearer evidence around product-market fit and helped inform their strategic decisions about the future.
Looking ahead
PIGEON's journey reflects the reality of early-stage innovation. By moving quickly from idea to brand to prototype to product, the team gained real-world insight and the confidence to make informed decisions.
We are proud of the work delivered and of the partnership that shaped PIGEON's early direction. The foundations we created will support the founders in future ventures and new opportunities.
