The challenge
Caroline came to us with a well researched idea for a new mobile app which needed to work on multiple devices to reach a wide audience. This meant developing for iPhone, Android phone and iPad.
How we solved the problem
To achieve this within Caroline's budget we built Biteappy using Ionic, an advanced HTML5 hybrid mobile app framework built on Angular JS. The advantage of this approach goes beyond cost however. It means that, in addition to the downloadable mobile apps, there is also a web-based version of Biteappy, available at biteappy.com.
The outcome
The beauty is that they all use the same code, pulling all of the listings data, which Caroline manages herself, from a hosted database via a custom API. We continue to work closely with Caroline as she becomes a lead entrepreneur within the food allergy industry.
